Integrative creative counsellor

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX:

I am a Creative Integrative Therapist with a strong background in supporting children, young people and families through emotional, relational and traumatic experiences. I currently work as a Counselling Lead within a youth project, supporting young people aged 11–21, alongside my role as a Clinical Practitioner for a fostering organisation.

My practice is shaped by extensive training and experience, including a Diploma in Children and Young People, DDP-informed practice Levels 1 & 2, Complex Trauma certification Levels 1 & 2, and a Sensory Facilitator Certificate. I have a particular interest in neurodivergence, attachment, complex trauma and traumatic loss, working creatively when words can feel difficult.

My wider experience includes working within a school, a bereavement service, and with Samaritans, where I was trained as a listener and worked as a supervisor, leader and member of the outreach team.

Alongside counselling, I offer coaching to counselling students, providing compassionate, supportive space to develop confidence, reflect on practice and grow both personally and professionally. I have also worked as a coach, assessor and trainer, and hold qualifications in learning support and children’s mental health.

I bring compassion, curiosity and flexibility to my work. I believe therapy and coaching should never be about fitting you into my way of working. I tailor sessions to your individual needs, not mine, recognising that every person has their own story, pace, strengths and way of communicating.

At the heart of my practice is connection: creating a safe, accepting space where you can feel heard, understood and supported to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
